Euro News: Christian Mbili, Kerman Lejarraga, Jack Culcay, More

Former EBU welterweight champ Kerman Lejarraga (34-3) is looking to get his career back on track on November 12 in Bilbao, Spain, against French veteran Fouad El Massoudi (18-18-1) in a scheduled eight rounder.

Lejarraga moved up to super welterweight after back to back losses to David Avanesyan and won six straight but lost last time out in an upset loss to James Metcalf (23-2).

French super middleweight Christian Mbili (22-0) takes on a yet to be named American opponent on December 17 at the 11,000-seater XXL Arena in Nantes, France.

Mbili, who now resides in Canada, told L’Equipe that he was certain the opponent would be an American as his fights are all televised by ESPN. Christian’s last fight in France dates back to 2019.

Another French star, super welterweight Souleymane Cissokho (15-0) is likely to be in the co-feature.

Spanish amateur star Emmanuel Reyes Pla makes his pro debut on Saturday (Oct 8) in a scheduled six-rounder against Romanian Adrian Buhaniuc (1-0).

Reyes won a silver in the latest European championships and represented Spain in the 2021 Olympics.

IBF # 2 super welterweight Jack Culcay (31-4) and heavyweight Granit Shala (12-0) headline AGON Sports promotion at the AGON Arena in Berlin November 12. Who they will fight has yet to be announced. 

Also on the bill is hard punching Spanish super middle Jose Luis Navarro (7-0, 70 Ko’s).
