Boxing Scene

According to multiple reports, this Saturday’s fight between Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn is now officially off.

The event was in chaos on Wednesday, when the Daily Mail revealed that Benn had tested positive for the banned substance clomifene.

Once the British Boxing Board of Control became aware of the violation, they issued an official statement which prohibiting the fight from taking place.

Lead promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, had his legal team attempt to challenge the decision of the BBBoC, but that attempt has failed. Extensive talks were held between the respective legal teams on Thursday, with no resolution reached.
